Wildo

One of the things that drives Wildo is the belief that everyone has the right to more nature. High mountains, open seas, and deep forests. Simply put, to be outdoors more. All campware has been proven in Swedish conditions for decades and inspires confidence.

Wildo believes that it should be easy to just pack your gear and head out. This is also what Ingvar Svantesson did in 1979. He decided that it was high time to improve conditions for hikers, campers, and all other outdoor enthusiasts. This was to reduce the wear and tear on nature. Function is essential to the design. The idea is for it to be as light, durable, and compact as possible.

Ingvar shared his vision with Jan Andersson, a former captain in the Swedish Army. Jan understood that this type of product needed to function even under the most primitive conditions. This led them to introduce a new era of accessories for the outdoor world together.

They wanted to ensure high demands on quality and materials. This was combined with respect for human and environmental resources. This led the duo to decide to manufacture the products locally in Borås, Sweden. Now, more than 35 years later, this is still one of the primary guiding principles for the company.

In 2011, they handed the company over to Erik Andersson, Jan's son. The company is still located in Borås and is officially called Wildo. They combine many years of experience with innovative ideas to create the Wildo products you can find today.
