tyrolia-protector-attack-14-gw
Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW

The Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW binding combines precision with an extra focus on safety. With a lower stand height and a higher DIN range, you get a binding suitable for ambitious piste skiers, freestyle skiers, and freeriders who want a reliable binding in all types of terrain.

What truly stands out is the FHR technology, Full Heel Release. It provides a 180-degree release, both horizontally and vertically. This means the binding can release earlier during forward and especially backward twists, which is one of the most common scenarios for ACL injuries. According to simulations from the University of Innsbruck, this technology can reduce stress on the ACL by over 50 percent.

The binding is equipped with an FR Pro 3 toe piece, which ensures consistent release values regardless of conditions. Thanks to the revised AFD, it's also easy to adjust the binding to different boot sole heights. This makes the Protector+ Attack 14 GW flexible and adaptable, no matter what boots you use.

The Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW works with both alpine boots according to ISO 5355 Type A and walk-friendly boots according to ISO 23223 Type A. Please note that the optimal height should always be tested with a test strip to ensure proper interaction between boot and binding. This way, you get maximum performance from your skis.

With a DIN range of 4 to 14, the binding suits everything from ambitious piste skiers to more aggressive freeriders who want extra safety without compromising performance.

Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW, Specifications

DIN range: 4-14

Stand height: 21 mm

Weight: 1290 g per piece

Full Heel Release (FHR)

FR Pro 3

Compatibility: ISO 5355 Type A and ISO 23223 Type A (GripWalk)

FAQ

What makes FHR technology unique?

FHR, Full Heel Release, provides a 180-degree release both horizontally and vertically. This allows the binding to release earlier during twisting falls, especially backward, reducing the risk of ACL injuries.

Who is the Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW suitable for?

With a DIN range of 4 to 14, the binding is suitable for skiers of medium to high weight and aggressiveness, whether on groomed slopes, in the park, or freeriding. It's a good choice for those who want extra safety without compromising on precision.

Which boots are compatible with the binding?

The binding works with alpine boots according to ISO 5355 Type A as well as walk-friendly boots according to ISO 23223 Type A, i.e., GripWalk-compatible boots.
